Ibrahim Zaki is a multidisciplinary designer and calligrapher based in Dubai with a BA in Graphic Design from Al Najah University, Palestine. He has been working as a designer since 2008 while continuing to expand his creative practice across design, typography, and calligraphy.
Ibrahim has collaborated with leading global brands such as SQUATWOLF, On Shoes, Samsung, Ray-Ban, Poison Drop jewelry store, and The Sandy Times, and worked in partnership with international agencies including Leo Burnett, Oliver Wyman, and Landor, alongside many cultural and art institutions. He has received several private commissions and has been selected multiple times for the highly acclaimed worldwide initiative Hundred Best Arabic Posters. His work has been exhibited at Tasmeem Anti-Type (ICD Brookefield); Delusions & Errors (Dubai Design Week, UAE); Weltformat Festival (Lucerne, Switzerland); Best 100 Arabic Posters (German University of Cairo); and the global initiative Fight for Kindness. He also serves on the Anti-Type jury panel by Tasmeem at ICD Brookefield, Dubai.
Ibrahim attended the Rhode Island School of Design Information program in 2019 and has participated in international conferences such as Type Berlin (2016, 2017). He has developed his relationship with Arabic scripts through training courses by acclaimed institutions such as the Khatt Foundation and Rhode Island School of Design Information. He is also an active teaching artist, regularly delivering workshops for children, young people, and adults.
